This is a very tricky question. What is comes down too is the printers equpment and standard tolerances of the manufacture of said equipment. Newer technolgy in web offset printing and press manufacturers have made strides to make a compairable piece to sheetfed printing. A standard rule of thumb with most heat set printers out there is registration will float .001. Newer technology has placed register eyes before the oven to correct movement sooner so there arent as many copies out of register. Cut off with older web press is usally around 1/16th of an inch advance or retard. (This is best case senerio what has been used is the color bars if color bars advance or retard out of trim copies are out of tolerance) Newer technology has quicker response times and faster corrective motors, this is the same senario for web guides only with a 1/32 tolerance because of web tension. Color for most ISO commercial printers tolerances are +/- 5 points of density. Publications +/- 7 points of density. Most of the indusrty has moved toward closed loop color. If your printer has this capasity most likely this where they are at.
