Recently (Jan 2010) approx 250,000 Naga Sadus (Hindu saints) combined a most religious festival "kumbh mela" with an environmental message to halt global warming. They are able to witness it firsthand with the melting of Himilayan glaciers and promote the planting of trees. There surley must be much more involved but good information is scarce.
