Take a hot bath with Epsom salt.......it helps relax your achy-ness. Try to stay as warm as possible because you want to just sweat the fever out. I hate having to stay really hot, but you'll sweat it out and feel MUCH better. Day Quil and Night Quil works AMAZING (even if it tastes bad) And sleep as much as you can. I hope that helps!

So far, a cure for the flu has not been developed. There are preventive flu vaccinations and there are treatments of the symptoms and medicines that speed recovery from viral infections, however, no cure has been created so far. See the related question below for how flu is treated.

Well, the simplest cure for a fever is just to lay down and close your eyes. You do not have to sleep.Afterward, take your temperature. If it is 100.4 or above, take some medicine.I strongly recommend Tylenol,Advil,or Motrin.Motrin is best to take if you are about to go to bed, because it lasts 8-10 hours. After the medicine has worn off, take your temperature again. If it has gone down but is still 99.0 or higher, take some more medicine.FEEL BETTER SOON *< : ).

Alternatively, try the following steps:

1. Measure your temperature with a digital thermomether.

2. If your temperature is higher than 37.6 degree celcius, take some medication.

3. Get enough rest, drink lots of water.

4. If symptoms persist after 3 days, consult your doctor.

Aspirin, or Bufferin (not as likely to cause any bleeding) is the only home remedy which reduces my fever. And, if chills start from a very high temp, gather plenty of blankets. Seems like a contradiction that the higher the temp goes, the colder the person feels. Flluids should be consumed regularly.

If temperature reaches 102 degrees in an adult, or certainly no higher than 103, a physician should be consulted.
