What can you do if you are being bullied at class?

Some people bully because they think that you're the type of person who wont stand up for yourself. If somebody bullies you then stand up for yourself, tell them that they're a bully and they can get stuffed and you don't care what they say and appear like you don't even though you do. Bullies want to see you full of angst. Saying it in front of others is a good idea so that they're less likely to react in a way that compromises your safety.

Secondly if you're under 18 you can call Childline, if you feel like you don't really want to tell somebody or you are unable to or whatever then try to ring them. The number is 0800 11 11, Childline are a government charity and everything you say to them is confidential (they wont tell unless you or somebody else is in serious danger.) What they will do is talk through the bulling with you, they are trained councellors and will give you advice and hopefully make you feel brighter.

Another thing to do is to hang around near people. If your a shy person or whatever then it might be difficult but if you're at school just knock around with a few kids at breaks, at dinner, whilst in and around school and classes and during the morning and after school. Like I pointed out, bullies bully sometimes because they think that you are weak alone, hanging round with people who will fight back is good, you don't have to hang around with a tough crowd though.

Those are just a few tips for bullying, there are lots of things that you can do and other people can do if you have the courage to approach them. Remember this, you're not alone, you don't deserve this, you are you and you have the right to feel safe and comfortable in your own skin. Keep going and don't give up because school does not last forever, school is just a small part of your life. If you ever get to thinking that drugs, self-harm or suicide is the answer then I promise you that they are not and I wish you the best of luck for the future. Chin up, forget them.
