Hi, I had that same problem a couple weeks ago. There are a couple things you can do:
1) You can play a game on a tablet or computer or phone etc. Playing games can make you tired, it can take your mind off of not being able to sleep.
2) Read, the same as playing games it can calm you, make you tired, and take your mind off of things.
3) Get up, walk around and do some yoga. It makes you think of things that calm you. That is what makes you fall asleep, thinking and staying peaceful and calm.
4) Do some breathing. Take deep breaths and get your mind off of things.
5) (This one might work). Get on-line talk to friends. If they are on too then they can talk to you. Something that helps people sleep is getting rid of their problems. If you trust them and are close to them tell them how you feel. It takes a heavy burden off when you get out your problems. I realized that I need to tell people how I feel if it bothers me. Talk to your parents, friend, sibling, spouse or anybody close to you.
If this is happening repeatedly, I would definitely go to your doctor. If it happens only a couple time a year than you just need to follow the 5 things I told you. If it happens a lot like, 5 times a week, I would tell your doctor. They will give you some medicine that will make you tired. From then on if you are having a bad night, just take some of the medicine. If you take the medicine go to bed earlier. Sooner or later you will be sound asleep.
The one thing is just to not worry about it all day long, don't think like " I will not sleep, it will be a horrible night". If you say that, it will happen. Just stay calm, and tell anybody if it makes you comfortable. They will understand. Don't worry if you think you are the only one who has this happen. Everybody has bad nights. Some people just like to not talk about it.
Hope this helped :)
Late at night.
They sleep in beds. Or on the sofa if it was a late night.
Alot of children do goto sleep late.
don't drink coffee
you can die younger
Because they need their sleep.
Go to sleep baby!! It's late night.
get some water then snuggle back to bed ;)
When you cant get to sleep at night, the best way is to listen to music or lay on your back.
sleep, all birds but owls sleep at night, their eyes are most similar to humans, so they cant see when it is dark.
If you sleep all day, it's pretty obvious why you can't sleep at night. But if you're tired all day but can't sleep at night, you probably have insomnia which is a symptom, not a complete disease.
Since you define it as "to much" and beeing "late at night" I would say the short term consequense is lack of sleep, or disturbed sleep pattern that night. however, if you do this every night, you could be an early diabetic. Stop eating to much sugar. :-)
