∙ 11y agoIf the mixture is liquid enough, you can let it sit for awhile till the oil separates. If you have a centrifuge, that will speed things up. If the mixture is too thick, add some water.
Most likely, you will need to break the emulsion first (an emulsion is when the oil and water phases are mixed to very small particles). Breaking an emulsion can be done using large amounts of salt, putting it in the refrigerator overnight, performing heating and cooling cycles, or by stirring it gently. It really depends on what the mixture is.
