What city is known as the breadbasket of Canada?
The middle Colonies were known as the "Breadbasket Colonies" because of their large exports of grains to other colonies and Europe.
most of the grains were grown in the prairies (the interior plains) such as wheat. Since most of them came from this area it was considered "Canada's breadbasket"
