There were no monks in Tudor England. All monasteries had been destroyed by Henry VIII in the period 1537 - 1540 and all monks were required to either retire on a pension or seek alternative employment. Any that objected or resisted were murdered.

Tudor clothing is not difficult to replicate in costume form. A boy should wear a long-sleeved white shirt under a doublet and short, puffy pants over hose. Boys also wear flat caps.
Life expectancy during Tudor times was shorter. Children did not always live into adulthood. As a result boys and girls were often dressed in the same clothes until the boy grew older. This meant that the boys would wear a dress like the girls.

"Tudor times" (sigh) What does that mean? Why did you capitalize "did" and "wear" but not the proper name "Tudor"? Also, how about picking up a book that discusses 15th century English culture along with an English grammar book?
