It is simple the ozone layer pertects some of the ultraviolet radiation that comes from the sun if you are exposed to much of the sun you can get skin cancer that is the danger of ultraviolet radiation

Because it has more energy than visible light, it can impact the function of biological material and cause mutations and changes in function. When damage to a cell occurs, it is possible for the cell to become cancerous in which case it will begin to reproduce uncontrollably due to a change in its function.
