They believe that Halloween has something to do with the devil. But Halloween actually was started by Irish immigrants who brought it to America. They would dress as ghost and stuff to scare away the evil spirits on that day.

Not the Halloween that most people think of and celebrate, by dressing up and trick-or-treating. But many Wiccan and other pagan traditions celebrate an important religious holiday called Samhain on October 31st, though some prefer November 1st.

The name "Halloween" is derived from "All Hallows Eve", it being the eve of "All Hallows Day" which is now more commonly known as "All Saints Day" and is a Christian feast day which honors all the saints, known and unknown.

How does people fell about Halloween?

It depends on what you look at as "effects". It varies. For example, commerically, Halloween ends up benefitting. 40% to 60% of all candy sold is done for Halloween, and greeting cards, costumes, regular foods (people host Halloween parties), decorations, fabrics, and so on all benefit from the holiday. Modern day, there are few religious effects anymore. But Halloween used to be very spiritual, superstious, and religious.
