They live in houses just like all other Americans.
Historically they first lived in so-called "pit houses", but by the time white explorers arrived they were making conical bark slab houses. These had a frame of willow poles covered with large sheets of cedar bark, or sometimes with a thatch of dried grass or cattail leaves. The door was always on the east. In summer smaller wickiups of brushwood were used instead.

It depends on the season. In the winter the would live in what's called a galis dangal, which translates to winter house. The galis dangal was cone shamed and would consist of a frame made from poles covered with bark and wood for insulation. The entrance to the galis dangal would face east as to catch the first light.
The tribe today called Washoe (originally Waashiw) speak a language unrelated to any other - it is classed as "endangered" and very few native speakers remain. Happily there are now efforts to rescue the language and preserve its words.In Waashiw the word for wolf is tulí:ši' - you say toolee-shee'.
