Stars are like the sun big balls of gas! I did my science project on how a star was made, the sun is a star, so in space stars look like the sun, but you have to get closer to see the resemblance, Google Stars or Sun then click on images you should get a result about exactly what the might look like.

Is a blue giant and red giant star visible to the human eye?

It depends how far away they are. These stars are easily visible if reasonably close. I mean they usually can be seen easily even when they are hundreds of light years away.

Why would a star that is farther away from earth be brighter than a star that is closer to earth?

Stars vary widely in size and brightness. A nearby white dwarf star may produce much less light than a much more distant blue giant, in the same manner that a far off floodlight may outshine a close-by candle.

Why are stars brighter than the sun?

Most stars are dim red dwarfs which we cannot see. Most of the stars we can see actually ARE brighter than our sun. From our perspective, because we are so close to it, the sun appears big, the same reason a 100 watt light bulb in the same room appears brighter than stadium lights four miles away.

Why is the Deneb star much brighter than the Pollux star?

Deneb is significantly brighter than Pollux primarily due to its intrinsic luminosity and distance from Earth. Deneb is a massive supergiant star, which means it emits much more light than Pollux, a giant star. Additionally, Deneb is located about 1,425 light-years away, while Pollux is only about 34 light-years away; however, Deneb's greater luminosity compensates for its distance, making it appear much brighter in the night sky.

How far away is the star scheat from earth?

Which is much brighter the flame of the candle or the stars why?

Candle flames appear to us to be brighter because we typically view them from a few feet away, while even the closest stars beyond our sun are trillions of miles. Up close, however, the smallest star outshines any candle by many orders of magnitude.

Why are stars not as bright as the moon?

The stars are in fact brighter than the moon as many distant stars produce their own light (just like our sun) and the moon only reflects sunlight. However, since many of these stars are so far away and the moon is relatively close to the Earth the Full moon appears to be brighter.

Why vega brighter than arthuros?

Vega appears brighter than Arcturus in the night sky because it is closer to Earth, being only about 25 light-years away compared to Arcturus which is around 37 light-years away. Additionally, Vega is a hotter and more luminous star compared to Arcturus, contributing to its perceived brightness.
