Turtles don't make birthday cakes. They don't make use of candles either. In fact, the evidence would suggest that turtles do not make much effort at all to celebrate their birthdays. There could be many explanations for this behaviour, but I believe it is because they don't like the thought of "shelling out" on non essential items.
