Notify your parents or your school administration if you are minor. If you are an adult report it to the police giving as much information as you can about the person you suspect/know is doing it. Do not engage this person in any kind of contact, either personal or on the phone or internet chat. Ignore them completely, and show no interest in them.
- Let them know it bothers you and ask them to stop
- If the situation persists ask again, more firmly.
- I would personally get someone else to warn them (an older brother, partner, parent etc...) without making threats.
- Take police action and get a restraining order.
When a stranger is stalking you, try not to panic. Here is a general rule to tell if the person is stalking you:
If you see them once, it's any other stranger
If you see them twice, it's a coincidence
If you see them three times, he/she is following/stalking you.
If the person who's stalking you changes outfits, then that person is probably spying on you.
If a person is stalking you do these things:
If you are in a car then:
a) Swerve/make sudden turns
b) Go faster and go in front/pass as many cars as possible
c) Try not to go on backroads/unbusy streets-try to stay on (or get on) highways
d) If you are at a yellow light, try to go through it
e) If all else fails, make them follow you to a police station
If you are on the street walking/bicycling
a) Go into a store and go into the bathroom
b) Turn at weird places, at crosswalks, but don't go if it means having to stop (don't turn on to vacant streets)
c) Go to a crowded place and get into the crowd
d) Lead them to a police station
e) RUN!
If you are at home
a) If someone is stalking you when you are home, you may see people by your house more often
b) Close all windows
c) Lock all doors
e) Check to make sure all your valuables are still there
f) Make the house seem full and heavily populated
g) If something has been stolen, call 911. You may be in danger.
Side note on this: Sometimes people stalking you when you are home are robbers waiting for a chance to get in.
If the stalker catches up to you
a) Yell fire (Do not yell help, no one will listen!)
b) Try to create a diversion
c) Run for your life
d) When you are safe, call 911 and tell them the stalker's details
If the stalking is reallly dangerous and worrying you, you should call the police right away with evidence. IF you are a middle school student (high school works too) and there is a person stalking you, you should find out why. If the person hates you, likes you, is interested or just for fun, Then you should corner the person and tell him or her to seriously stop and tell them you will personally write them up. That will be a slap in the face, and if they don't stop and are obcessed with the stalking then you should tell the most penetrative teacher who would understand you.
1) If underage, tell a parent/guardian.
2) Don't go anywhere alone.
3) Call the police.
4) Get a restraining order.
5) Don't confront the stalker as they could become violent.
you should contact the police and spend as much time as possible in a populated area
if you know who it is find out there intention's and if it's a mandatory situation call the police if you don't know who it is call the police.
Report it to the authorities.
Not a total stranger stalks someone. Someone who is being stalked from one of his or her known one. May be the stalker would like to know more about a person that's why he or she stalks.
