Someone very bright once told me that you cannot love someone who does not love you back....it has to be something else like an addiction...I didn't believe her at first, but in time, I found out that she was right. Think about it...do you really love that person or are you intrigued because they are taken? It's also about intimacy. Those of us who don't feel comfortable being intimate often choose people who are taken. We can still have that feeling of being in love....but without the intimacy and without being tied down.
