It's sort of like Gym battles or the elite four. You try to win as many battles as you can in each facility. There are five facilities- The Battle Tower, the Battle Arcade, the Battle Hall, the Battle Factory, and the Battle Castle. Here is what you do in each-
Tower- this is basically like a LOT of trainer battles, but the trainers are really strong. You can either play the game or battle against someone on wi-fi connections. You can't enter legendaries.
Arcade- In the battle arcade, there's a game board that triggers events, like renting a Berry, Sunny Day, or paralysis/freezing, ect. Beat as many trainers as you can!You can battle with a few legendaries because it accepted my Latios and Mesprit but not my Arceus Celebi or Rayqaza
Hall- In the battle hall, you enter one Pokemon into a contest. You choose what type pokemnon you want to battle (hint: choose the hardest types first becasue they grow in level) and try to keep a winning streak as long as you can. You can't enter legendaries excpet Latias/OS.
Factory- the battle factory is my favorite and alos the hardest for most people. You battle with rental Pokemon like Milotic, Magnzne, or Blaziken. You try to beat as many trainer s as you can, but look for the Pokemon's moves and item, not just type or power.
Castle- In the Castle, your main objecitve is to manage CP(Castle Points) for healing HP/PP and renting items, even seeing your opponent's Pokemon or growing 5 levels higher. You get more CP every time you win a battle , depending on how much health you have at the end. However, when your Pokemon faint, unlikother facilities they are revived to one HP which can drain your CP trying to heal them fully.
Rules-
No exp. points gained
normally you are taken to level fifty in the different facilites
You win BP (Battle points) when you beat enough trainers.
After winning a LOT of battles you are faced against a Brain- a very formidable trainer who has types you are weak against. Good Luck!
No, Pokemon Sapphire Version does not have a Battle Frontier. However, Pokemon Emerald and Pokemon Platinum do have the Battle Frontier.
each time you beat 7 trainers in the battle tower you are rewarded with bp(battle points)
Pokemon Ruby and Pokemon Sapphire do not have the Battle Frontier, instead they only have the Battle Tower. It was not until Emerald version that the Battle Frontier was added to the game.
If you see a Pokemon in the battle frontier you have not yet seen, it will not record it. The only way you can add that Pokemon to your pokedex is if you see it outside of battle frontier.
There is no Battle Frontier in Pokemon Diamond and Pearl. Only the Battle Tower.
