Firstly relax it probably looks better than you think. if it's too short try using a straightener it this will add length. also hair grows back. before you know it you will be heading to the salon for a trim again. If the style isn't you why don't you try asking a different stylist or a family member or friend to style it so it's a little more you. if you want you can add some highlights to your hair to make it a little different.

The best way is to find another hairdresser and see if they can salvage something from the bad haircut.

Going back to the original hairdresser is an option, they will probably offer a discount or do it for free, but then again it's always awkward saying "I didn't like the haircut", or trusting them again.

Alternatively, see if you can find a way to style the bad haircut so that it becomes more acceptable to you - try curling it, straightening it, sticking it up etc... you may find a new style which really suits you. Failing that, invest in some hats, headscarves and hair-accessories for until your hair grows out, which usually doesn't take very long. Wigs are a last resort, since finding a realistic one usually take a lot of time and money.
