The wire from the alternator to the charging light might be shorting to the engine or chassis as the bulb is switched on by ground supply check the engine wiring loom for any obvious damage if you find something tape it up and tie the wires back from where the wear occurred

The timing marks for a 2002 Ford Explorer are located on the timing chain and cam shaft sprocket. They must be aligned with each other to set the initial timing.
If the anti-lock and air bag light came on after the battery change and the charging light is on now it is probably your alternator. Usually with the Marks, if the battery starts acting up your best bet is to change the alternator too, I know had to do it to my 93 Mark Vlll. Never had to do it to any other car but had to with the Mark, good luck.
Sometimes with these Marks when you change either the battery or alternator the other will go out so a lot of places change out both at the same time, also the positive cable can be at fault and it's a pain to change out.
as with any alternator remove the bolts holding it to the engine then it should come off easily of course removing the belt is recommended. then either replace or service the alternator. On older marks an easy way to check the alternator just hold a screwdrivers tip to the rear center of the alternator, if it sticks the alternator works. if it doesn't replace it
Yes the timing chain position marks for engine 4.0 ford explorer eddie bauer
first check your battery if alright check your spark plugs check them for loose or damaged electroids and there colour then check your ht leads (plug leads) then the distributer cap and rotor arm for burn marks and excessive wear check the alternator and belt then the coil and ignition module
check on the alternator. there is a small zero located just before where it tell the spark to fire.
open your remote handset up.take the battery out..look at the battery identifying marks..go to your supermaket and buy one, replace it, simple
The battery in my 1995 kia sephia had to be placed replaced and now I noticed water marks on top of brand new battery. What would cause the battery to overcharge?
YO, if you have frog marks on your wall then you have issues...but my advice would be to get a new wall and ditch the frogs...PROBLEM SOLVED
The voltage regulator in most newer GM cars is in the alternator. The simplest way to replace the voltage regulator is to install a rebuilt alternator, it is also the most expensive. To replace the voltage regulator in your alternator: 1. Remove the ground cable from the battery. 2. Unplug the wires to the alternator. 3. Remove the alternator. 5. This is a good time to check the alternator bearings. Spin the pulley and if the alternator is noisy or stops almost immediately you probably need new bearings. 6. Take out the bolts that hold the alternator halves together and take the halves apart. Mark the halves so you know where to put them back. 7. This is a good time to check the brushes. If they are excessively worn it is a convenient time to replace them. Look at the commutator, it should be smooth. Take a look at the field coils to see if they are burned. or have any broken wires. 7. Take out the old voltage regulator and install the new one. 8. There are two tiny holes in the brush holder. Insert a wire in the holes to hold the brushes back so that you can get them over the commutator. The wires should extend to the outside of the housing so that you can pull them out when the alternator is put back together. 9. Put the two halves back together aligning the marks so you have it in the right orientation. Put the bolts back in and tighten them. 10. Pull out the wires that held the brushes away from the commutator. 11. Put the alternator back in place, install the wires and the belt. Tighten the drive belt.. 12. Put the ground back on the battery. 13. Start the engine and check to see if the alternator is now charging the battery.
