What I personally think will happen in the world scene in the next few years is that the economy of the world will get slightly better. More social issues, such as gay marriage, will become more acceptable in places like the US. We may, unfortunately, see more terrorist attacks as tensions are still high in the world.

i do not know but they said in 2000 and 2006 the world will end but it did not. the pattern for "the end of the world" seems to happen every six years. so i dont think it'll happen Many religious people and scientists have been looking around and many signs have led to the theory that the world will end in 2012. It's always possible. And besides, there is a saying that goes "the third time is a charm", and if that is true, then 2000 (a.k.a. y2k) was the first prediction, then 2006 was the second prediction, and the THIRD prediction was 2012. Although I think its is a 50-50 chance, it is up to you to decide what you think the truth is.

Some scientists believe that the world will keep crashing in on it's self and over a period of time a new world will then form and this will happen again and again, But if the world did end it would be in a long time, some people thought about 2 years ago it would be the end of the world when the scientists tested that tunnel i think it was but nothing happened
Why is the world going to end in 2012?
Because the ancient Mayans predicted that as a prophecy- but it is likely it will not happen because scientists have calculated nothing will happen to the planet until it is engulfed by the sun a few billion years from now. The ancient Mayans possibly only predicted that 2012 was the beginning of a new era and not exactly the end of the world. For some reason, people just mistakenly think that they thought the world was going to actually end when that time comes.
