DNA codes for amino acids
DNA's base sequence is first transcribed by mRNA (condons). The codons are then Translated into anticodons via tRNA. The anticodons will be similar to the original triplet DNA except obviously, Thymine is replaced by Uracil.
Example
AAT-GCG-TTT (DNA base sequnce in sets of 3)
UUA-CGC-UUU (base sequence [codons] of the transcribed mRNA
AAU-GCG-AAA (here are the anticodons that looks similar to the original sequnce these anticodons are matched with the 20 known amino acids. there are 64 codons. one signal to begin transcription AUG and 3 to stop UAA, UAG,UGA.
20 amino acids 64 codons? most amino acids are specified to more than one codon, this REDUNDANCY in the 'genetic code' prevents problems due to transcription and translation errors.
i hope this helps i can go into greater detail if not. this is the general foundation of DNA to RNA to Proteins, hints what does DNA code for?
DNA codes for amino acid chains. The amino acids then become polypeptide chains which then in turn become proteins.
well if your trying to check your familys and yours you will have the same dna and if you do it with a stanger you wont have the same dna.
DNA codes for the makeup of every cell in the body. Therefore, when DNA is damaged, the body struggles to recover.
Copying the genetic code is called DNA replication. It relates to DNA in that DNA carries the genetic code.
No. Viral DNA is going to code only for viral DNA. Viral RNA will code for viral RNA.
A gene is the DNA code that can make a copy of itself.
Not during transcription and translation yet during Replication - it is.
