The name Roy is a derivative of the French word Roi, meaning King or ruler and is related to the Spanish equivalent Rey. the other explanantion would link the word Roy to the German word Rot or Rott meaning ruddy or red. Originally a Scottish name, Roy means "Red", from the Gaelic word Ruadh.

Return On Investment - if I spend $100 on a product that will save me $25 per month, my ROI kicks in four months after my investment. Three year ROI will be $800 (8x25 first year, 12x25 for remaining two years) or 800%. Of course this does not consider things such as depreciation, etc.
