That's like asking what does a man do typically - every one is different and there is definitely no such thing as a"typical medieval person".

The very marked class system meant that people were strictly divided according to social status, with the aristocracy, the Church and the working peasants as the three general levels of society.

But within these groups not everyone did the same thing; in the Church, a bishop did not do the same as a priest, who did not do the same as a monk, who did not do the same as a friar, and so on. Among the aristocracy, a wealthy nobleman did not do the same things as his wife. Among the peasant classes there were very wealthy merchants and craftsmen who lived completely different lives to a shepherd, ploughman or carter.
