Copyright means different things at different times: in regard to one's original works, it's a way to make money; in regard to using someone else's work, it's an expense.
If I write a song, it's automatically protected by copyright, so anyone else wanting to use it needs my permission. If I record it, both the song and the performance on the recording are protected, so anyone else wanting to use those needs my permission. If I publish the sheet music, people might buy it, but then they need my permission to perform it in public, record it, etc. Anything that happens to that song I wrote has the potential to provide me with income.
But from the other side of the equation, if you wrote a song and I want to use it, I need your permission. If you recorded it and I want to play it on my webpage, I need your permission. If I want to use it in a movie, I need your permission. If I want to adapt it for a jazz band, I need your permission. If I want to record that adaptation, I need your permission. Anything I want to do with your song has the potential to cost me money.

Frankly, the same as anyone else. It's possible to inherit rights controlled by the musician, but other than that there are no real perks.
it means copyright it's the symbol for copyright
"Copyright obtained" is an unnecessarily wordy way of saying the material is protected by copyright.
copyright symbol is c with circle ©
The Copyright Office is said to have administrative control of copyright because it administers the law.
It prevents people from pirating copies of the film (DVD, etc.) or song (CD, mp3..) and making a profit on the filmmaker's or musician's work without the filmmaker's or musician's permission.
The copyright date is the date the material was "fixed." This can mean when it was written down, recorded, painted, etc.
This means that the person did not mean to break any copyright laws when they were using someone Else's idea.
If someone is no stranger to allegations of copyright infringement, it means he gets accused of copyright infringement a lot.
Christian Prommer is a musician.
