Engine lubrication helps to disperse heat and keep the engines/ transmissions metal/ aluminum parts from rubbing on each other by staying in between the parts.

Depending on the engine Gas or diesel engine oil can do many things, the main goal of engine oil is to remove heat and form a film of oil on or around the surfaces , and in the event of parts meshing with one another to form a barrier that will cushion and prevent wear of those parts. Oil has many things added to them depending on the manfaturers formulation, first thing they ad is an add pack, this may contain zink, calcium, many different things to prevent metal scoring in the event of metal to metal contact the ADD packs have things that are able to withstand pressure and act as a buffer between to surfaces. second is cleaners, and by that I mean Surfactants, solvents, things that will emulsify with dirt and carry the dirt to the oil filter. Noe you have many products that are sold to improve oil and it's protection feature over and above just the oil alone. one is Silicon Carbide coatings (STM-3) that form a smooth surface on the metal themselves and this feature improves the performance of standard oil.

I ran across this product Cerma 4 years ago tried it and have used it in everything that we own. We had a 2005 Ford Escape that got 20.5 mpg and we treated it with the Cerma in April and the following July we were getting 27 mpg and 30,000 miles later we reached 32.15 mpg. It just kept getting better and better. It was just a little 2.3 Ltr and seemed to take 1/2 mile or more to pass a car before treatment and after treating it the hp increased to where we could zip around a car with no problem. We have used it in everything from that to a Intl tractor, 4-wheeler, chain saws, lawn mowers, anything that requires lubrication.

Why engine oil is mix with petrol in some engine?

Oil is mixed with Petrol in what is known as a 2 cycle engine. This type of engine has no lubrication built in (as say an oil tank on a 4 cycle engine) so as the fuel/oil mixture burns lubrication is provided to the cylinder.

What is gravity feed lubrication?

gravity feed lubrication is when the lubricant is pumped to the top of the object needing lubrication, and falls on top of the object, covering it and lubricating it. An example would be a wet sump car engine.

How does oil help a engine?

Simple answer: Lubrication. Without oil the engine will self destruct very quickly.

How do you Check supercharger fluid?

If it uses engine oil for lubrication then there is no maintenance other than changing your engine oil and filter at a regular interval. I recommend 3,000 miles on a Supercharged car which uses engine oil for lubrication. If on the other hand it has a self contained lubrication system, then you need to read the owners manual or go to the manufacturer's web site.

What is the function of the engines lubrication stystem?

The function of lubrication is to deliver clean oil at the correct temperature & pressure to every parts of the engine. To be effective, an engine lubrication System must successfully perform the function of minimizing friction between bearing surfaces of moving parts, dissipating heat & keeping the engine parts clean by removing carbon & other foreign material.
