GSM is short form of 'Grams per Square Meter'. Quite simply, it allows print buyers and print suppliers to know exactly about the quality of paper that is being ordered. The higher the GSM number, the heavier the paper.
GSM means Global System for Mobile Communications. This is the most commonly used technology by the carriers or network providers worldwide.
However in paper production, it refers to Grams per Square Meter. Normallly, the higher the GSM, the thick the sheet of paper.
GSM means grams per square meter in measurement. It is the measure of the weight and type of the paper. The higher the GSM paper you have, the better quality the paper is.
The unit 'gsm' stands for 'grams per square meter', which means that a 130 gsm paper is heavier than an 80 gsm paper. Whether the 130 gsm is thicker depends on the type of paper. However, 130 gsm of the same paper stock would obviously be thicker.
170 to 230 gsm paper used for paper plates and cups
GSM in relation to paper - is the weight in Grammes of one Square Metre. For example - 'regular' A4 copier paper is usually 70 GSM. Craft paper such as origami paper (for folding into models) is usually much lighter at around 40 GSM, or sheets of card is normally 120 GSM
How to calculate gsm for cartons
75 gsm and 70 gsm are the weight of the paper naturally the 75 gsm is a little bit good tha 70 gsm paper it is costly to but the 70 gsm paper is good for daily printing on laser printer but if u want to make special assignement or project or may be resume than go for the 75 gsm or more
cut 10x10 cm paper then check the weight of paper on gram. GSM is (weight of paper (W) divide by 0.01)
100 gsm refers to a grade of paper, and refers to 100 grams per sq metre of paper. This is a reasonably common paper weight, though paper for your photocopier will usually be 80 gsm.

GSM is a gram per square meter . tempate of 20x25cm paper size cut it and weight it in weightometer
Paper comes in many different sizes, so there is no set conversion. However, GSM stands for grams / square meter, so if the GSM and density of the paper is known, conversion becomes easier. The formula for the thickness then becomes: Thickness = GSM/density.
