Usually sun flower seeds, dried corn, and just grains after. That's pretty much it. :) but different hamster foods have different types of stuff in it, but the one with dried corn, and sun flower seeds, is the most popular brand (Hagen)
The are many that you hamster can have and everybody will say something differet, but here is a list of supplementary foods which i fed to my hamsters and still feed to my lovely hammie today, in very small portions once or twice a week.
One thing which hamsters are allowed but i have never tried is cooked chicken as it is a great souce of protein, and in the wild hammies would eat worms and insects.
Hope this helps!
The store bought hamster food usually consists of a variety of seeds and vegetables.
Mostly there is sunflower seeds thrown into all of the mixtures. It usually says the ingredients of the hamster food on the package and it depends on what brand you buy.
Go to store and look at the ingredients of the food on the hamster food package.
Save the hamster food
Complete hamster mix, food that's specifically for hamsters.
Yes! In fact, ALL hamster food is made for Hamsters AND Gerbils! It is perfectly fine to give gerbils the hamster food, and also to give hamsters gerbil food!
You should feed your hamster once or twice a day. Put two spoonfuls of hamster food in its bowl, if it is empty in about an hour, don't worry it won't starve. It likes to store its food up, as they are used to doing that in the wild. When it becomes empty and your hamster starts to look upset and bored (starts to bite its cage) then refill its bowl.
Baby hamster's only drink their mother's milk and they proceed to eat hamster food once they're weaned.
If you go to the pet store, you will find hamster food there.
Too much food may cause a hamster's organs to "burst."
You spell it 'ingredients'.
No,NEVER,EVER give a guinea pig hamster food.Hamster food contains nuts, which are fine for the hamster but will almost certainly choke your guinea pig. Also hamster food contains corn which is way too fattening for guinea pigs. And lastly a guinea pig needs a lot of vitamin C which guinea pig food has plenty of while hamster food doesn't have nearly enough, plus hamster food has too much protein for guinea pigs.
Don't let the hamster out of it's cage. To a cat, a hamster is prey. A food source.
well a hamster is most likely to store their food in there pouch for probably about 20 minites but if the hamster has it longer then that then contact a vet or tell a perint
