You've been Rickrolled! A 'rickroll' is a prank played on an unsuspecting web surfer. To be rickrolled is when browsing a website (especially a discussion forum or comment bo…ard), one comes across a link expecting it to lead to one thing, but finds something completely different when the link is clicked. The name Rick refers to '80s pop singer Rick Astley. The standard rickroll generally involves someone posting a link claiming it leads to something quite interesting (e.g., hot chicks in panties), but actually linking to a video of Mr. Astley singing "Never Gonna Give You Up." This is usually considered a major let-down.
that answer was just lyrics!! what you can do (this is just 1 example) on a website, on the comments part people might ask you about something, and you can send them a link wi…th a comment saying this is the answer but make the link so it goes to the song Never gonna give you up! be sure to make it a hyper link and call the hyper link 'Answer' -
(used to indicate a person, thing, idea, state, event, time, remark, etc., as present, near, just mentioned or pointed out, supposed to be understood, or by way of emphasis):T…his is my coat.
Because HTML "hides" things directly, you can add a link to anywhere and send the browser into the twilight zone. Sometimes the link actually goes to "the" site - the one from… which the prank draws its name. In a "true" Rickroll, you can take the link to Rick's song and rename it anything you want. That way it "appears" as a "good" link to a related page, but actually directs the user who clicks on it to the real target page - the music video of Never Gonna Give You Up by Rick Astley. The only way the user can avoid it is to actually roll the cursor over the link and read in the net information bar the actual target page to which the link will direct the user if he clicks on it. Many users just click on a link without "previewing" the target address. If they just "click and go" they'll get Rickrolled. A link is provided to the YouTube post. And if you click on it, you won't get Rickrolled because you've been told up front where it links you to.
I know of one site. 1227.com PRANK YOUR FRIENDS!
That is when a person posts a message on a web site or in a email saying people should check out a new website for some great information; and provide a web link. However when… you click on the link it takes you to a video clip of Rick Astley singing "Never Gonna Give you Up". (or something like that) He is also SUPER DUPER UBER GAY
When you're looking for something interesting on Youtube, and someone sends you a link, it's usually the video to Rick Astley's "Never Gonna Give You Up." You just got Rickro…lled.
Rickrolled link can be reffered as a video that shows up when clicking on something that is fake. Like On youtube you can search for a movie trailer of a movie that hasn't bee…n confirmed and you find one and you click on it but it is actually of a video of some guy singing. That's being rick rolled.
To get something is to obtain, acquire, or receive it, or perhaps, to buy it when shopping.
Rickrolling is probably one of the most well-known memes. The first rickroll occurred on /v/, or the Video Game board of 4chan, where somebody claimed it was a trailer for GTA… IV. By 2008 it had spread beyond just a joke on 4chan, and became very popular on Youtube. Youtubers do it because they find it is popular among other youtubers, and has become a joke within the youtube community.
That would be 'Never Gonna Give You Up' by Rick Astley.
No. This can be the same type of prank using the trololo videoinstead of Rick Astley's never gonna give you up. Trololo has avariety of other applications besides spoofing.
It was 20b.org but the the website is down T_T
The song that is connected to the rick roll is sung by the singer Rick Astely. The song is titled "Never Gonna Give You UP." A rick roll is a technique used to prank people on… the internet.
