It's not properly said. It should read, "It's not what you know, it's how you grow."

That means, it's not about learning a bunch of new things, it's how you grow and mature in response to whatever you learned, however much you may or may not have learned.

Learning one new thing, internalizing it, fitting it in with the rest of your knowledge, and gaining wisdom therein, is of more value then learning 100 new facts of which you do little or nothing with them.

As applied to a relationship - such as a woman telling you that you don't know her - it means that no matter how much you learn, it's only raw data. It's what you do with it, or learn from the learning, that counts.

Knowing her favorite color, movie, food, etc. isn't going to do you much good if you don't know "her". You can't just arrange to dress in her favorite color, rent her favorite movie, and order out for her favorite food and expect that this equals success. People aren't that simple.

How can you make a girl love you but she says lets be friends?

You can't make anyone love you ... the love has to come from the other person. Start out being just "friends" and later on the friendship may grow into a meaningful relationship. Love is to be cherished and appreciated, and love is never ever taken for granted in any relationship. It takes hard work to keep the love going ... not in the physical sense, but building a solid relationship that is based upon total trust and getting to know one another.
