Not sure if the "p" was a slip in the typing but as for the 14k, I can help out there. The k would signify carat - 24 carat gold is pure gold but is very soft. So other metals are mixed into the gold to help harden it and prolong its life.
Most likely the number will be stamped onto some part of the jewellery. This comes mainly in 9k and 18k but in Asia 14k is common as well. 9k would be the hardest and most durable whereas the 18 would be the most expensive.
14k can also be found on American gold as well as 10k etc, in the UK you get 9ct 15ct 18ct etc

plumb 14 karat
the best 14 karat gold
"Plumb" or true 14K gold
It probably means plated with 14 karat gold.
That would be plumb gold, also expressed as 14kp. It is a mark indicating exactly 14 karats of gold, no less, no more. A mark of quality.
It can be stamped as 14k, 14kt, or 585 depending on the place. Some countries do this differently.
CZ stands for the company that made the ring. A "CZ" can also be cubic zircon that is a man made gem/diamond.
I wondered that too... I had found a ring that I thought was costume jewelry until I relaized it had a stamp on the inside of the band with that same thing. A place on eBay is selling a ring and this is what they say about it: "marked "14K" & "DQ CZ" which is the mark of the QVC TV original seller of this ring; 14K solid gold QVC ladies CZ "Diamonique" ring". Not sure if this is 100% accurate or not, but it seems to make sense. Anybody know any better???
the PL probably means that it is gold plate as opposed to solid gold and the 14k is the quality of gold used (14k is not high quality). It's not worth as much as you thought. Many people believe that P and PL on gold indicates that it is plate. The P and PL are older terminology that was used to indicate exact or plumb Karat. A ring that is 13.5K can be listed as 14K gold but a ring that is 14KPl is exactly 14K gold or 58.33% gold.
