A non-technical answer: expect some withdrawal symptoms if Adderall (mixed amphetamine salts) has been taken daily for a month or more (more or less). The higher the daily dose and/or the longer it is continuously taken, the stronger the withdrawal sensations.

Everyone is different, so an exact answer (as to daily dose or period taken) isn't possible. The most common feelings experienced when stopping Adderall are: a) wanting to go to sleep (and sleep and sleep) and b) wanting to eat (and eat and eat!). Not surprising since Adderall suppresses the body's hunger and feeling sleepy sensations. These feelings are commonly felt within 24 hours of skipping a dose and generally last a couple-three days, the first day being the "worst."

"Rebound" is a term commonly used to describe the sensation experienced when a dose of Adderall is "wearing off", which, depending on the dose--strength and type of action (regular or extended release) happens anytime from 3 to 12 hours after taking it. Usual rebound symptoms are, ironically, the return of traits common to ADHD (impatience, impulsively, emotional lability), only stronger! Thankfully, rebound usually only lasts an hour or so, and diminishes/disappears over time.

Are there any withdrawal symptoms from Adderall?

Amphetamines, including Adderall, can cause withdrawal symptoms in people who stop taking them too quickly. However, Adderall withdrawal is more likely to happen when people take higher doses of Adderall than recommended. People who take Adderall as prescribed for a legitimate medical purpose do not usually have withdrawal symptoms when stopping Adderall. Some withdrawal symptoms of Adderall can include extreme fatigue, depression, and changes in heart rhythm.

In my experience, my daughter's night wetting stopped almost completely when taking adderall. She stopped taking the meds during the summer & the bed wetting returned. She has woken up dry again since her first dose this school year. My daughter is 9yrs old and has wet the bed at least once per night since birth.

Will restarting Lexapro after 7-10 days without it stop the withdrawal symptoms and if so when?

I attempted to stop taking Lexapro a few months ago, after 6 days of the withdrawal symptoms I went right back on it. The symptoms stopped by the 2nd day and I felt like myself again. Lexapro works wonders with depression but wreaks havoc with it's discontinuation syndrom!

Does doing acid cause withdrawal?

No, the actual process of taking the acid will not produce withdrawal symptoms. Withdrawal symptoms appear when someone is trying to quit the drug, or go 'cold turkey.' quitting the use of any drug will cause withdrawal symptoms, it just depends on how often you used the drug, and for how long, to how severe the symptoms will be, and how long they will last for.
