That's not really true. You could translate it as "look, that's what you get". And like the German version it makes sense with context. In that case it's the picture with the eagle and its broken bones or leg. And it stands for Germany's fall or something like that. You know...the broken buildings, streets and economy after WW2. And then of course that they splitted Germany in half basically. And I guess the sign should have remembered germans of the followings of bad behavior. Something like that. :)
