∙ 13y agoSimply put; it's okay, but you should be punished for killing slaves, and should give slaves their freedom if you break their teeth or blind them (this is not a nice thing to do).
Slaves must be circumcised.
You must free slaves who have served you for six years, and they may keep their wives if they had them to begin with, but their wives and children will belong to you upon the slave's release if the wife was given by you. Either way, you must be sure to give them a nice retirement bonus on their way out.
Women are fair spoils of war! Having killed heathen men, their women, children, and livestock are yours for the taking. You may have your way with the women as you like, but if they are engaged to another, then you must atone by having a priest sacrifice an animal (small price to pay for institutionalised rape).
Should you find an escaped slave, you are not permitted to oppress them or to force them to return to their master.
If enslaving your own family members, you should treat them better than the average slave.
Slaves may have their own slaves.
The punishment for enslaving Hebrews is death.
