The two symbols are the 'Khanda' and the 'Ik Onkar.'

Ik Onkar means One God.

The Khanda symbolizes that the sword to the left represents truth, and the sword to the right represents the willingness to fight for what is right- the religion. The Khanda (double edged sword) represents knowledge of God, the Chakkar represents the eternal nature of God (without beginning or end) and oneness of humanity.
