When respiration takes place, oxygen needs to be transported to all the body and for the deoxygenated blood to be cleaned. The heart cleans that blood as well as transport/delivers the oxygen and the cleaned blood called oxygenated blood.

This is what circulatory system do for respiratory system.

The respitory system is responsible for exchange of O2 and CO2 in the lungs to the blood capillaries of the lungs. Once the oxygen has been diffused to the blood, The cardiovascular system takes the oxygenated blood and its spread throughout your body via arteries and of course your heart.

The circulatory system is responsible in part for gas exchange. As Hemoglobin moves through the body with arteries as vessels and the heart pumping, they carry a maximum four oxygen molecules, although blood pH levels can effect this, and the oxygen diffuses into cells. As Oxygen diffuses, Hemoglobin will pick up Carbon Dioxide and travel through the veins to the lungs, where small sacks called alveoli transfer the Carbon Dioxide for Oxygen, and the cells will then recycle through the body. When exercising, lack of Oxygen and increase of Carbon Dioxide, the Medulla on the Brain Stem will cause breathing rate to increase, as Hemoglobin simultaneously picks up Carbon Dioxide and releases Oxygen in order to maintain a stable blood pH at around 7.4

The first destination of blood after it leaves the heart is to the lungs, while the respiratory system brings oxygen molecules into the body and to the lungs. The oxygen molecules travel through many bronchioles until it stops at the alveoli. This is where gas exchange happens in that the blood surrenders carbon dioxide and accepts oxygen. The alveoli are surrounded by capillaries. The blood running through the capillaries is oxygen-poor. So the oxygen diffuses from high concentration to low concentration through the capillary wall into the blood. Now that the oxygen is in the blood, the blood flows back to the heart and is pumped to the rest of the body. When the blood reaches more capillaries in organs and tissues, the oxygen diffuses through the capillary wall into those organs and tissues. The blood is now oxgen-poor and the cycle starts over again.

Footnote; (A compromised heart function such as fibrillation results in lowered output from the heart and of course lower circulation through the lungs, resulting in breathlessness.)

well the respiratory system supplies oxygen to the blood, so if we did not have the respiratory did not exist we would not be able to live - because our blodd would not be supplied with the oxygen it needed - therefore there would be no such thing as humans in the universe

respiratory and circulatory system are related in such a way that the deoxygenated blood from heart is passed to lungs for oxygenation and after this oxygenated blood is pumped back to heart.
