The dots on Case knives can be used to determine the date of manufacture. Starting in 1970, Case added 10 dots to the stamped
imprint and removed one dot each year. This continued with a redesigned
stamp and dots in 1980. They removed the dots in 1990, but due to collector demand , Case brought them back in 1993 until 2000. From 2000
on they now have x's and dots.

The answer will depend on what you mean by 'Dots'. If you mean the tiny dark dots that are on the coronet band of some horses those are called Ermine. Spots on the hoof itself are either just a 'marking' caused by the color of the skin at the coronet band or possibly a 'hoof brand'. Some people will have a farrier imprint a pattern or series of numbers on a horses hoof to help prevent theft and identify horses that may look identical.
Hurrican Katrina. Unless you don't mean the name, but rather the type...?

Misono knives, Masahiro knives, and Masamoto knives are the top three brands that I know of. Misono knives are the best out of the three with no downside other than availability and cost.
One might want to start his/her search at a local sporting goods store to check for cases for pocket knives. Stores such as Walmart, Kmart, Bass Pro Shops etc. might be some good first stops.
