Some priests or pastors usually look at homosexuality or bisexuality as being a sin. Others feel that people are just people, no matter what, because God loves all of his creations, gay or straight.

Why do baptist churches vote on a pastor every year if god sends the pastor to them?

God can't "send" them a pastor. It's a way for the church to express who they think is a "Gift from God"

How do you refer to a pastor such as on a website and other church communications who has died until a new pastor is found?

I think you should just use his name! I know that this is an honest question, but the whole practice of adding "Pastor" or "Rev." Before someones name is distasteful. He is not the church. The church is the whole body. He is an equal in the body. Preaching on sundays does not a superior make.

Who did not like Simon birch?

Some people who did not like Simon Birch were: his own parents because they simply did not know what to make of him, and his pastor at church because he did not like that Simon seemed to think he knew what God would think is acceptable of the church and he openly criticized what the pastor organized and suggested.

What is the difference between a preacher and a pastor?

My answer would be this: A preacher is one called by God to go out and preach God's Word to people. A pastor is a preacher who has been called to be a preacher to a church. A pastor has one church that he preaches at and calls his "home" church. A preacher might receive the call to preach, but doesn't stay at one church all the time. He might be a member of a church, but he doesn't necesarrily pastor there. Think of the idea of circuit preachers, moving from town to town.

Who leads the Pentecostal church?

I am not entirely sure what you meant by this question, but I think you are asking who leads A pentecostal church rather than THE pentecostal church, but I could be wrong. A pentecostal church is lead by a Pastor who is usually selected by members of the church and has been ordained as a minister. My father is a Pentecostal minister. We attended the church before he was the pastor. The former pastor was asked to leave because of some personal issues and my father had just graduated from Bible College. My father was appointed as interim pastor which means they made him the pastor until they decided who would be the permanent one. Another man from the church also thought God wanted him to become the new pastor, so the church members voted and they chose my father. This may not be how every church does it. I do know of another church where the pastor died of old age and the assistant pastor became the new pastor, although I believe they still voted on it. HOWEVER!, if you were to ask my father who leads a pentecostal church, he would answer, without blinking and without a second thought,"God leads a pentecostal church". :)

Does Pastor Robb Thompson really think he is a prophet or is it just another scam?

There is no definitive evidence that Pastor Robb Thompson claims to be a prophet. However, it is always important to exercise caution and critical thinking when evaluating religious figures or claims. Engaging in your own research and seeking multiple sources of information can help you form a well-rounded understanding.

Who is pastor of church when two people has money in church?

It is the job of the deacons to distribute the tithes In acts chapter 6:2, 3 The twelve apostles realized that with the increasing growth of the church, some provision would have to be made for handling these business matters. They themselves did not want to forsake the ministry of the word of God in order to handle financial matters, so they counseled that the church should designate seven spiritual men to handle the temporal affairs of the church. Although these men are not designated deacons in the Bible, it is not unreasonable to think of them as such. In the expression, serve tables, the word serve is the verb form of the noun from which we get the English word deacon, so their function literally was to "deacon" tables. - Believers Bible Commentary. This should be done according to needs. I guess if the pastor is a paid worker he should be paid, some money should be allocated to missions, some to the ministries of the church etc etc

Who chooses the Deacons in the Baptist Church?

Yes and no. Baptists traditionally organize their churches as independent, or "autonomous", churches rather than part of a multi-church government. So that means that each church can decide for itself what rules and policies will be observed and followed. Because of this independence, many Baptist churches establish their own procedures for things like who can hire a pastor, who can be a deacon, etc... I will tell you that the large majority of Baptist churches will set up a committee of members to search for a pastor when a church is without one. The committee may or may not have people on the committee who are deacons, but the deacons will want to meet and OK the person that the search committee finds as a new pastor before he or she is hired. The role of the deacon with or without a pastor to lead the church is to be both a group of servants to the church and authoritative body alongside the pastor. Think of the pastor as the President, and the deacons as Congress, and you will get an idea of the relationship and shared responsibilities.

I've gotten into a conversation on tithing with the pastor and brethren. I was told if I do not want to be cursed by God I must tithe. I told the pastor and the brethren I do not find the scripture saying the church must tithe?

Um.... I think that's a lie.
