It's not called the Red Baron Cross, it's known as the "Iron Cross". It is a symbol of German superiority. It's less offensive then the swastika, and usually worn by people who do not understand it's meaning. Manfred Von Richthofen (known as the Red Baron) had this cross on his aeroplane, as did every other German pilot. The reason for this was too tell who was who in the sky. Each nation had their symbols, and were painted on the tall, fuselage and wings.
