It matters how talented you are. It matters if you can make it through an audition And ACTUALLY GET THE JOB. It is very hard with so many talented people that it is better to have background in theatre to back you up.
I cant find a job because of my background
The chances for a job are very low, since Bosses often look at your records. If it is a very bad criminal record, like you murdered someone, then there is a low chance that you'll get a job higher than being the assistant to the night-shift janitor at McDonalds. If it is a minor offence, there is a slightly lower chance of getting a job than most. However, many bosses will judge on people's ethnic background as well, maybe even more than people's criminal record.

Committment is key to any job you do. Overall it depends on what job you do. If you have fun doing a job you often do it better so maybe find friends at work to make it more relaxing, also it's pointless doing a job you hate so find a job that you know you will enjoy is key. Hope this helps!

When you are working, ability is more important. However, education is often needed to get the job in the first place.
