You have to gather up the ice part, steel part and the rock part. After you gathered all of them, it will form into a music box. Keep the music box in your toolbox to find mew throughout 36ft-99ft. Beware Mew can be in a monster house and could also be sleeping on a floor and you might miss it.

Unfortunately, no. The Music Box will break if you try to do anything other than keep it in your toolbox. However, keeping the Music Box in your toolbox while in the Buried Relic will "attract" Mew and cause it to randomly appear on any floor from 36-98. Note: If Mew is on the floor, it will be there as soon as you appear from the previous floor. It will not appear after you have already appeared and walked around the floor for a while. Additionally, Mew may appear more than once during your visit to Buried Relic. For example, if you find Mew on floor 37 but defeat it without it joining you, there is still a chance that you could find Mew on floor 38, 39, 40, etc.
