2005- There is no specification, but they are becoming more choosy these days! If you can't get into the 4-yr college of your choice, try a tech school for an Associate's Degree in nursing. You get your RN in half the time.

I have a friend that was trying to get into medical school in Texas. She had a B average, but made a C on one class and was told it was not good enough. There is a rise in people going to the medical school to becoume physician assistants so the computition has really increased. It was high before, now it's even higher.

AnswerI know a few people that are enrolled in medical school, and their GPA was a 3.0 and a 3.5 and where both excepted. It also depends on what school you want to attend all universities have different requirements.

That is strictly dependent on the school. Most of the schools I have been involved with require a minimum of a 2.5. However, this is not to say others might not be higher.

To be a Registered Nurse you must pass the Test (Boards) for your state. To take the Boards you must have successfully completed a Nursing School in a Community or four year college. So your GPA is whatever the learning institution you are attending requires for graduation or obtaining a degree in Nursing.
