Kate's greed has pushed Jodie out of the picture. The producers of Jon and Kate plus 8 offered Jodie some financial compensation and supposedly Kate blew her top about it.
If you Google you can find plenty of posts that confirm Kate is not a nice person. Manipulative, sarcastic.
I think Jon is just overwhelmed by it all and just trying to keep it all together. I am sure the reality sure has provided much needed income.

∙ 14y agoA discussion of money and payment for appearances on the show resulted in Kevin and Jodi no longer talking to Kate. Kate reportedly said something to the likes of, "No one gets paid for the show but my family".

∙ 14y agoBecause Jodi and Kevin had told Jon and Kate their opinion about the show. They said they did not think the show was good for them anymore and they should quit. That made Jon and Kate mad and they no longer see Jodi, Kevin, and their kids. They have not seen the kids in nine months.
