SPOILER ALERT. In the first few episodes of the final season of Sailormoon, Queen Nehelenia, who the sailor senshi thought was sealed away, is released and tries to take her revenge on Sailormoon for imprisoning her by kidnapping Mamoru (Darien). It is during this fight with Nehelenia that Super Sailormoon receives her new transformation into Eternal Sailormoon. Sailormoon returns Nehelenia to her normal state as the child queen of the Black Moon and all seems well. In the next episode Mamoru leaves for America to do research at a university there. He does not show up again until the final episode, except to show that he did not arrive at the university because he was killed by Galaxia, the main villain, before the plane even landed. As Usagi (Serena) is saying bye to Mamoru, we meet the Three Lights, as popular singing group comprised of three high school boys: Seiya, Taiki, and Yaten. These three enroll in school with the inner senshi and end up being the female Sailor Starlights (Sailor Star Fighter, Sailor Star Maker, and Sailor Star Healer) that come to aid the inner senshi throughout the season. Seiya, Sailor Star Fighter, falls in love with Usagi. The main villain, Galaxia, is after all the true star seeds (little crystals that only sailor senshi have) in the galaxy so that she can rule the entire galaxy. In accomplishing this goal, she uses the senshi from other star systems whose star seeds she has already captured to go out and check for star seeds on earth. The minor villains underneath Galaxia are named Sailor Iron Mouse, Sailor Aluminum Siren, Sailor Lead Crow, and Sailor Tin Nyanko. Both the inner senshi and the outer senshi show up fairly often through out the duration of the season, but not as much as the Sailor Starlights. The Sailor Starlights and the outer senshi do not get along. Chibi Chibi, a mysterious little girl, also shows up in the last half of the season, along with the Starlight's princess, Princess Kakyuu, who dies during her second episode. **MAJOR SPOILERS.** In the many-episode-long final battle, all of the senshi end up confronting Galaxia at her throne in different groups. All of the inner senshi have their star seeds taken and die as Saiormoon watches, while Sailor Pluto and Sailor Saturn have their star seeds taken by a Neptune and Uranus that have decided to join Galaxia's side. Neptune and Uranus beat Sailormoon and the starlights up a bit before turning on Galaxia and trying to steal her star seed, only to find out that she doesn't have one. Neptune and Uranus die, and eventually the situation gets so desperate that the light of hope (Galaxia's star seed that she sent out into the galaxy before she was evil and that would allow her to be overcome in the case of her turning evil) is awakened in Chibi Chibi and she turns into a sword, which Sailormoon is supposed to use to kill Galaxia, but Galaxia cuts the sword in half because of Sailormoon's hesitation, so in the final episode, Sailormoon uses the Ginzuishou (Silver Crystal) to purge Galaxia of the evil that has taken her over. Galaxia is then charged with returning all of the star seeds she collected to their former homes. All of the senshi, as well as Mamoru, then come back to life and comfort Usagi after the final battle. The Starlights leave for their own planet with their princess, and the final episode ends with Usagi and Mamoru kissing in the moonlight, with peace achieved at last.

In the anime, Usagi destroys Chaos and heals Galaxia. Galaxia flies away to restore all of the lives she took under Chaos's power. Chibi Chibi vanishes, and all of the Senshi and Prince Endymion are restored to life.

The Three Lights return with Princess Kakyuu to Kinmoku. Mamoru and Usagi are engaged, and go on a romantic date. The Outer Senshi return to their happy lives together, and the series ends with a video where you see pictures of all the Senshi.

In the manga, Sailor Moon travels all the way out to Sagittarius Zero Star, where the Cauldron is. Along the way, she does battle with Sailor Lethe, Phi, Chi and Heavy Metal Papillion, but is then reunited with Sailor Chibi Moon and the Amazoness Quartet. Chibi Moon informs Sailor Moon that Earth has been deserted, with everyone having been killed by Sailor Galaxia. With Kakyuu by their side, the team makes it to the Cauldron and Galaxia's palace. There is an epic battle, during which Sailor Phi, Kakyuu and Chi all die in that order. Galaxia then uses the reanimated bodies of the Inner and Outer Senshi against Sailor Moon and Sailor Chibi Moon. But eventually they are defeated. Galaxia throws Tuxedo Mask's body into the Cauldron, and Chibiusa disappears.

Galaxia and Sailor Moon fight, but soon Galaxia realizes Chaos has been using her. She loses faith. Chibi Chibi tells Sailor Moon that this was pretty much destiny, but Sailor Moon tells her to never give up the fight. Chibi Chibi becomes Sailor Cosmos, and informs Sailor Moon that she's making the right choice. Sailor Moon throws herself with Chaos into the Cauldron.

Sailor Cosmos reveals that she is Usagi, from an alternate future universe. In her time line, she had run away from Chaos, and in turn lost everyone she ever knew. Out of guilt and despair, she came to "our" time-line to help Usagi make the right choice. She then sends the Quartet back to their rightful timeline.

In the Cauldron, everyone is revived, and Chibiusa leaves for the 30th century. Cosmos's Starseed gives Usagi the choice for them to start all over, or continue as they were. Usagi chooses the latter, saying that no matter how tough a life being a Sailor Senshi is, she loves it.

Usagi and Mamoru awaken in bed. There's a STEAMY scene. ^.^ The next scene they get married, and Usagi realizes she's already pregnant with Chibiusa.

Naoko Takeuchi drew one more Sailormoon manga in 1999, titled Parallel Sailormoon. In this comic, Usagi is not yet Neo Queen Serenity (keep in mind that she chose to live as she was, and that 30th Century isn't for another 900 years yet.) and she and Mamoru have two daughters: Chibiusa and Kousagi.

Chibiusa is 15, and attends school with Hotaru. They both wear glasses. Usagi is a stay at home mother. Minako's husband is the assistant director to a sitcom. Makoto owns a bakery and floral shop, and lived with her husband for two years before they married. Rei teaches calligraphy, and married a Shinto Priest. Ami and her husband are both doctors, but they are poor.

Kousagi is a crybaby like Usagi, and raises rabbits. She HATES cats, as they cause her to break out into hives and sneeze. Kousagi is picked on by everyone, because she eats a ton and is a klutz.

Kousagi's team consists of the Inners' daughters: Ami, Rei, Mako, Mina. On their way to cooking school (which is run by Haruka, Michiru and Setsuna) they find a pink cat with polka dots and a crecent moon.

A comet made of rabbits is about to hit Earth, prompting the cat to awaken the girls as Sailor Senshi. Kousagi remembers that the natural enemy of rabbits are cats, so she uses her power to form all of the cats in Jyuban into a great Tiger. The cat eats the rabbit.

The girls awaken under the Outer Senshi, thinking that the whole thing was a dream. But the pink cat confirms that it was real...

Sailor Moon spanned a total of 5 seasons, 4 of which were dubbed in English for North American audiences. The fifth and final season - AKA Sailor Stars - had a total of 34 episodes and consisted of two main arcs. The first few episodes were dedicated to providing more closure to the previous season (SuperS) and featured a return of the evil Queen Nehelenia. As it ended Super Sailor Moon had to perform a daring rescue of Sailor Chibi-Moon and then managed to "heal" Nehelenia's evil soul and put her back on the path of good.

After these few episodes, the true Season 5 arc began for Stars. This season waved goodbye to some characters: Chibi-USA/Rini and Diana left to return to the future and Mamoru/Darien departed for the USA to go to school. But to fill these gaps, new characters were introduced, including the Three Lights - AKA the Sailor Starlights - and a mysterious little red-head named Chibi-chibi. A new threat also appeared of course, this one a powerful Sailor Soldier in her own right, Sailor Galaxia and her associated henchmen.

The season progressed in the fashion of all the others, episodic battles and slow plot development. Major plot points included:

- Who/What was Chibi-chibi? Where did she come from, why was she there?

- Who are the new Sailor Starlights? Are they good or bad? Trustworthy?

- The villains' search for 'pure heart seeds'.

- Usagi's loneliness while Mamoru is away and Seiya's (one of the Three Lights and also Sailor Starfighter) romantic interest in her.

- The Sailor Starlights' search for their Princess Kakyuu

The last few episodes deal with the final battle between good and evil and the Sailor Soldiers' struggle to vanquish Galaxia. After the defeat of nearly all the other Sailor Soldiers (with the exception of the Starlights) Sailor Moon manages to reach Galaxia with her love and understanding, and heals her. Once done, Usagi is heartbroken, as she believes she is completely alone after the death of all her friends (and also Mamoru, as it was earlier revealed by Galaxia that his star seed had been extinguished on his flight to the USA). She is astonished then, to discover that Galaxia's release from Chaos and subsequent healing has released all of the captured star seeds and the Sailor Soldiers all re-appear, fine and dandy. Last, but not least, Mamoru appears with Chibi-chibi (garbed in Prince Endymion attire) and Usagi throws herself into his arms, overwhelmed by the sight of him after such a long time of separation.

Three small scenes close out the series in a quiet, yet touching way.

1. The Inner Senshi and Mamoru gather to bid farewell to the Starlights and Princess Kakyuu, who are returning to rebuild their home planet, which Galaxia had destroyed. Seiya makes a somewhat cryptic comment to Usagi, who is, as always, completely clueless. The rest of the girls have a laugh at her obtuseness, as Usagi will always see Seiya as a friend, despite his/her love for her.

2. The Outer Senshi sit by Haruka's (Uranus) car by the sea, gazing at a beautiful night sky and then see some shooting stars (The Starlights and Kakyuu returning home). Hotaru and Setsuna discuss wishing upon the shooting stars and Haruka and Michiru comment upon the Starlights departure. Hotaru cutely demands to know Setsuna's wish and Michiru says no wishes are necessary, that now is their favourite moments.

3. We close upon a scene between Usagi and Mamoru, standing together under a full moon. Usagi turns to Mamoru and their discussion is as follows:

"Mamo-Chan?"

"Yes?"

"Do you love me?"

"Yes."

"Really?" Clutching his arm.

"Yes!" he affirms.

"How much?"

"What's with this all of a sudden?"

"Please. How much?"

"Let's see...when I'm with you, I feel wonderful."

Happy with this response, Usagi blushes and she and Mamoru kiss in silhouette against the full moon, with the following voice-over:

"I'm Tsukino Usagi, 16 years old, in my first year of high school. I can be a bit rash and a cry-baby, but I'm actually an agent of love and justice...pretty Sailor Soldier...Sailor Moon!"

The final credits are displayed over a series of cute snapshots of the characters.

I think Gaito's castle collapsed and then they got out of there. Once they got out of that pace, Sara then told them that she wants to go with Gaito. But before she leaves she tells the mermaid princesses that a new mermaid princess will be born in her place, and that when she grows up she will become the new mermaid princess. It's not exactly like that when you watch the anime, but I haven't watched it in so long I 've forgotten almost everything hat happens. Sorry if I'm wrong!

Chibi Chibi restores Serens's Star Seed and transforms into the Sword of Sealing, which she begs Serenity to use as a weapon to defeat Galaxia. Serenity refuses to kill her, believing that she still has good inside her. She instead heals Galaxia, and gives her the strength to expel Chaos from her body, an act which returns darkness to the minds of all life, where it belongs together with the Light of Hope. After the battle, everyone returns to life, including Darien. The Starlights and Princess Kakyuu say their goodbyes and leave. The show ends with Serena kissing Darien under a full moon after they reaffirm their love for each other. "Moonlight Densetsu", the opening song used for the first four seasons, plays over a photo-montage and the end-credits
