What has been done to prevent illegal immigration in the US?

Any employer who employs an illegal immigrant should loose his citizenship and/or 50% (of his business revenues). Any illegal immigrant who can prove that he was employed even for one month should be given a work permit.

We are all illegal immigrants, I personally believe that we should give them amnesty and accept them into our country. Plus by giving them amnesty they can start paying taxes which they don't do now. Or because they left their country due to poor living situations, we could increase foreign aid to other countries so it would be so bad to live there.

And a major cause of unemployment is that the jobs are not there because employers know that they can pay them minimum wage and since they are in the us illegal they cant even ask for a raise for fear of loosing there jobs.people Wake up remove illegal people from usa stop giving other countries our tax dollars and stop spending money on things that are not necessary.There are over 300 million people in the US and over 36 million people here Illegal.That's a major problem for Unemployment. Widespread xenophobia was one of the causes of the Jewish persecution and Holocaust but xenophobes like the author above probably think that history lesson does not apply to him.

The common xenophobe has very little knowledge of the people he fears so much, but he makes up for that by making assumptions that are always biased with his fears. He never intended to apply for the jobs he claims foreigners are 'stealing' from him, neither does he see that the real bad guy is the employer in the above story (follow the money).

One could try to educate such xenophobes, but it is much more effective to force them to do the work that is done by his beloved 'illegals' right now.

To prevent illegal aliens from entering the USA would require several things. This list is not all inclusive, however, it has the most common remedies.

A. Add more border patrol officers;

B. Speed the return of illegal aliens to their home countries.

C. Place the burden of proof on employers who hire illegal aliens & fine them for non compliance.

D. Make the regulations for legal entry more flexible, and speed up the process of doing this.
