It dramatically changed China in the past 100 years. Mao Tse Tung lead China into modernisation, removing all tyrants and landlords who were currently controlling the country in a bad way, as well as defeating their opposition party, the Guomindang lead by Chiang Kaishek, who's party was unfair and only focused on rich cities and companies and completely blocking out the peasants who at the time were 95% of the population, and were illiterate.

As far as other countries, Cuba has become communist, as well as Lao, and also North Korea.

The founding country of Communist, (firstly known as Comintern), was Russia, and disbanded Communist in the early 90s because of all the contraversy of military weaponary and war.

Nearly almost every country has a Communist party which you can become a member of.

Japan has a promising future for Communism, as already 5 million people in Japan have already voted for it as their countries one party state.
