John Adams singed the Alien and Sedition Act in 1798.and he signed the Declaration of Independence knowing that he then would be knowed as a traitor and could be killed and his family could be killed so that was a heroic thing to do and now he is famous for doing that because we might not be free right now if he wouldn't have dont that!

After the war he and John Jay wrote the peace treaty between Britain and the United States called the Treaty of Paris. He was Vice President of the United States and the second president. His son John Quincy Adams was also president .
