You have another drain that is plugged
OR
You have a cracked or damaged drain catchment pan
OR
if yours had an automatic drain valve on it and it is now missing the air flow into the box will cause spray, water retention and other problems. Many of these "valves" are a piece of rubber tubing that looks like the same rubber as a bicycle tube, And that's what I use to fix them.
