7.2 surround sound is dual subwoofers. Usually its only 7.1. If you have a 7.1 receiver then a simple y cable can allow you to connect two powered subwoofers.
True 7.2 surround is actually two different LFE (low frequency effects)(your subs) with a left and a right channel. Using a "y" cable wouldn't be 7.2 it would be 7.1 with two subs.
