∙ 14y agoSome parrot species are eaten by humans, but for the most part other kinds of animals are much easier to hunt or raise domestically. Unless you live in an area where parrots are a pest problem (like galah cockatoos in Australia) it's easier and more ecologically sound to eat domestic fowl or be a vegetarian. Eating pet birds is frowned upon in most cultures and might even be illegal in many areas.
