Google Earth, like a web browser, creates a disk and memory cache for downloaded content that can be changed in the Tools > Options > Cache menu panel. Google Earth can u…se as little as 256MB in memory but more is recommended. Disk cache starts with default of 400MB up to 2000MB (2GB) depending on how much free space is available, but this value can be decreased. Memory cache starts with a default 256MB up to 500MB depending on amount of physical memory installed on the system.
