According to a news article by Yahoo news, Faberge Chess set was worth 12.5 million, and is in Robb Report's 'Ultimate Gift Guide' for the year 2004. "21. Fabergé Chess Set $12.5 million Completed in 1905, set was gift to Russian commander-in-chief".
I can't tell you how much it is worth but I can tell you how to find out. Go to your local bookstore and find a book on collectibles on the secondary market. The book or books will have listings according to the item and the collector series. A price will be listed there for each item. This price is what that item was selling for on the secondary market at the time the book was printed. It gives you a baseline price for what you can sell it for. Another method is to go on EBay and see if anything like it is selling or listed. This will tell you if you can sell it and how much to list it for.

I am looking for Eggs Limited editionAnswerWhat you are referring to are eggs made by the House of Faberge and sold through FM. In 1988 they would have been about 4K.
